This Latin thing is driving me nuts. Even if I can get into Columbia's intensive intermediate program, I doubt I'll be able to keep up. I thought a better idea would be to check out CUNY's Intensive Latin thing, which starts from the beginning but is the equivalent of four semesters' worth of credits. But the head of the program said that they don't allow students who have already learned the grammar to enroll. What about students who really, really wouldn't mind the chance to review the grammar from the beginning?

This, this is going to be the reason I can't get my BA. Straight A's don't mean squat if you have a foreign-language phobia. It's not fair.

And please don't tell me it's because I chose Latin, because believe me, my anxiety would be a hundred times worse if part of the requirement was to stand up and speak this stuff in front of strangers and try to engage in conversations with accents and crap.
