This is what I heard when I turned on the news tonight. Good ole' Peter looking almost happy as behind him you see part of a city being destroyed said, "Tonight, pay back! A city full of ground zeros."

Payback?? When did a differant man in another country become the one who deserved 'payback!'? I know that the man of this city is bad. He kills hundreds of his own innocent people each year. He isn't the only one in the world like that. Are we going to roll into country after country and liberate the innocent? What about the man who runs the island not to far from our own southern coast. Isn't he a murder? Doesn't he do basically the same thing? Why don't we stop him? How about all the cleansing going on in countries just north of the country we are attacking now? Are we going to stop that?

    No?

Guess we only help liberate countries on a need to have their stuff bases. Too bad for you if you are being tortured and brutalized by a cruel leader and your country has nothing. The knights in dusty armour will never come through your streets. Our men and women will never crash and die in your countryside while trying to 'help' you out. Our men will not get shot and killed by any one trying to resist.
Shock and awwwwwwww...won't hear that repeated over and over again by the buzzards who circle with their camera's to get every explosion to show the world. We won't see the sad and defeated faces of men who have surrendered in tight close ups so that no dignity can remain.

I don't want our soldiers to die. I don't want innocent people to die. I want those people to be free, but can someone explain why not all people are worthy of our help? We spend thousands upon thousands of dollars in just the first two minutes of bombing that city. How many of our poor would that have feed and given shelter to? How many would that have given comfort to as they waste from uncured sickness?

Why can't I understand the reasons? Am I blind? Am I stupid? According to 75% of this country I must be. Cause they support this.

Once again I support our troops, because they are doing their job...I just wish they were home. Calling them knights was not meant to be snide towards them. I just mean that is how the press and our goverment tries to spin this thing.
