It's pretty sad that I had to run out and partially decorate my front steps with Christmas stuff. It is my only way to make sure that my crazy landlady doesn't come around and hang up ugly red glittery garland. The first year I lived here I almost started to cry when I pulled up to my house and saw what she had done to my front porch. It was awful. I vowed that it would never happen again and made sure I hung it by Thanksgiving last year. I'm so nervous that she may try to beat to it that I stood in the freezing rain and hung up some green garland and tiny understated bows. It's sad enough that she stuck a snowman that says 'Snow Alley!' in my front lawn at the beginning of October. Now, you may say, "Gina, why don't you tell her to stop?" I would reply that she is very old, very set in her ways and I don't have the heart.
