Vegas is a hell of a town. Didn't know I would like it so much. I knew I would have fun, I always have fun when I want to. the view from the room was so incredible. Mountains in the background and a pretty hotel with a huge lake with big fountains in front of that...I really put aside a lot of the things that have been depressing me. I didn't think about the certainty of attacks, didn't think about the towers...okay so I did think about the towers, something always makes me remember, but I put it aside. I truely relaxed and had a good time.
Nicole was so sweet, she very politely told us she didn't want to play cards while we waited for Tara and Kirstin to get ready. We moved into her space and made her play anyway and she put up with it. I was comfortable with her and Tara right away. Tara is very out going and a take charge type person (like me!). I loved how pleased she was that she was up and out early in the morning (while we snoozed) and had a manicure and explored the hotel. I'm usually the one in the group that will wake earlier and go off exploring (though I never get manicures!)...I was way too tired this time around.
Anyway, it was a fast trip, but it did me a lot good.
    New friends are great.
